Dawngeon 1.4

First of all, I want to apologize for confusion I made with the game description where it indicated the game has three endings. Users by simply making choices, whether they want to join the rebels or not, can have two distinct endings: one with the Lucifer fight and one with the dictator fight. The third ending, however, is more like a short easter egg that is more open ended. It is very short and can be infuriating as well, as you have to wait two hours to see but what you all get is a 1 minute long cut scene. I should have indicated that as an easter egg. I won’t let any like this happen again and please share your opinions and feedback with me to better grow Dawngeon as a Legitimate game.

I am trying my best to apply feedbacks into game and you will see some of them in Dawngeon 1.4: the Game Play Update. We have a lot to cover.

Better Saving System:

Better Saving System is added to game.

-> The game now saves data for any unfinished game so you can later pick up from where you left off. The save data saves your health, level, inventory, weapons, and skills. (However, the system does not allow you to start the level from the exactly same layouts and monsters. There are technical limitations in the game architecture that unfortunately can not be fixed).

Crafting System:

Crafting table is added to game.

-> craft weapons and items with materials!

Permenant Upgrade:

Permenant Upgrade is added to game.

-> Every time player die or clear a run, players now can pay credits they made from the run to purchase a permenant upgrade. The is designed to give player a feel of ‘making progress’ over time instead of losing every progress every time they die or move to the next stage.

-> permenant upgrade price start from 1000 credits and the cost increase by 1000 every time.

-> There are three options available to upgrade: Speed + 0.1, Health + 5, and Damage + 2. These numbers may sound small but when they culmulate, they can make a big difference in your run.

GamePlay Updates:

Every time player reaches to higher level of the stage, Enemies fire more often, and their bullets get faster.

-> Some players often were able to reach level 20 or higher which is not intended to be easy. This new change will make the game more challenging for advanced users.

New Monster Evan is added to game.

-> Evan is a sorcerer which will try its best to kill you with its magic.

-> The monster has 1000 initial HP and only spawn in level after 6.

Ghost remake.

-> Ghost now brings a bomb that will blow up when it gets closer to the player.

Coin earned from previous level or game is no longer available in the next game.

Also, shop will only appear from level higher than 4.

-> This will allow players to have more time to prepare money for the purchase, also allowing to have more consistent play style.

UI Updates:

Reset Data Button now only reset your story progress.

-> ‘reset data button’ was created before I add the Arcade Mode, a game mode that allows you to use credits to buy characters. Before then the credit was simply a way to show your score not to buy or to use anything. I was not aware of the issue that the reset also deleted credits back to 0. I am very sorry for anyone who lost their progress.

minimap bossroom indicator is redesigned.

-> it is now more cute and fitting!

minimap will now not show the icon indicator before player first visit the place.

-> This will allow player to explore more.

red damaged indicator is added.

-> some users could not often realize that they are low in health. This damage indicator will allow them to notice easily and take an action on it.

Lobby UI is rearranged.

-> Buttons are now more accessible and more user friendly.

There is now a Hotkey for food.

-> located next to the inventory button, players now can, without opening the inventory, eat food and potion.

Arcade Mode Updates:

Dictator and Elite Soldier are removed from boss fight.

-> their boss patterns were boring and often very weak. They also don’t really fit in the environment.

First mid-leveled boss fight now starts from level 10. ( 7 -> 10 )

The Lucifer fight now starts from level 15. (14 -> 15)

-> Players now have more time to prepare the boss fight.

New BGM is added to Arcade mode.

-> Named TabTab, an upbeat music that better fit in Arcade Mode. Thus, the song will only be played on Arcade Mode.

On the Death Panel, you can now see your progress in Arcade Mode.

New Bosses:

Three New Bosses are added to game.

  1. GoBa -> It jumps to smash the ground and creates circular bullet waves. Also remember his Jump can damage 100 HP.

  2. Evan Queen -> She Creates bouncing bullets that are hard to avoid. I especially love her attacking animation!

  3. IA AI -> A destructive robot.

They are exclusively available on Arcade Mode

New Characters:

Sarah

-> Sarah transforms into a energy matter. During the transformation, she travels faster and do not get any damages at all.

Koi

-> Koi uses her energy to blast out bullets from her heart. Her power grows every time she level ups.

Character Remakes:

Jackson

-> Jackson now have new ability which he reduces cooltime for weapons with no reload. His initial HP is reduced to 250 (300 -> 250).

Clara

-> With her skill button, player can have wider view: you can zoom in and zoom out. Perfect for snipers!

*Clara and Jackson now have pistol as initial weapon.

Shirts Kyle and Jackson Spy Theme are outdated and no longer available in the list.

Treasure Balance Update:

Treasure box now have a separate Image for boxes that have 100% chance of weapon drop rate.

A Tier Treasure Box (the one that requires the key) now can be destructible.

Treasure box found in level before 2 now have lower chance of dropping good weapons.

Treasure will have better chance of leaving weapons that don’t overlap.

New Weapons:

Burst Rifle

Burst Shotgun

Rocket Launcher

Shield

Strong Bow

Strong Bow Plus

UZI

Redar Rifle

Redar Rifle Plus

New Skills:

Bigger Bullets

-> increases the size of player’s bullets. Also increase the damage by 5.

Ricochet

-> allows Bullets bounce between walls.

Reset

-> resets XP and levels to start over.

Money Boost

-> Coin changes into gem, and gives 50% more money.

Item Better Follow

-> From any distances, every items are gathered easily and fast.

Less Cooltime for Skills

-> skill cooltime is cut by half.

Skill Attack Boost

-> skill damage boost

Energizer

-> gain HP by gaining XPs and Coins

Death Bomb

-> enemies explode when die.

Fire Guard

-> A fireball will guard around you.

Aqua Guard

-> A water ball will guard around you.

Neo Guard

-> A Neo bullet will guard around you.

Balance Update:

I will no longer post minor weapon and item balance changes on the patchnote.

-> Unlike the other highly competitive multiplayer game, weapon and item balance plays less important role in Dawngeon in my opinion. It is not noteworthy for the players to know every single details.

Bug Fix:

Now bullets won’t despawn while the game is paused.

A Skill, Curve Ball now have better enemy tracking system.

White background in the ending scene with follow rebel route is fixed.

the update will be updated to Appstore within a week.
